Gabriel Dobrev
Chief Executive Officer, Director, and founder

Gabriel (“Gaby”) Dobrev brings his vision and creative insight to every aspect of game creation: from design and production to programming and art. He conceived and produced the award winning Celtic Kings/Imperivm series that has sold well over 1 million copies worldwide to date. As the company’s founder and chief executive, Gaby has built Haemimont Games into a dynamic, rapidly growing, vertically integrated studio with multiple production teams and a staff of approximately 50 people.


For the 8 years prior to founding Haemimont Games, he held various senior technology positions with Haemimont AD and Haemimont-Smartcom AD, including Software Engineer, Lead Programmer, Project Manager, Chief Operating Officer, and Division Manager.


Gaby holds Masters degree in Computer Science from Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" and was a bronze medalist in the 1992 International Olympiad for Informatics. His spare time is dedicated to his 8-year old daughter, Nicole, and to his passion for rock climbing.




Ivan-Assen Ivanov
Chief Technical Officer, Lead Programmer

As Haemimont Games' chief technology expert, Ivan-Assen Ivanov is responsible for evaluating new technologies and technical market trends, determining the technical direction and management methods employed by the company’s development staff, and development of corporate technical standards. He was directly responsible for the development of the proprietary state-of-the-art engine underlying the company’s most recent games. Ivan-Assen has taken an active role in several of the company’s products, serving as Lead Programmer on Celtic Kings: The Punic Wars and Glory of the Roman Empire among other titles.


Ivan-Assen holds a Masters degree in Telecommunications from the Technical University of Sofia, Bulgaria.




Peter Stanimirov
Art Director, Lead Artist

Peter Stanimirov not only brings to life the creatures seen in the company’s games but also creates the extraordinary locations and scenes they inhabit. His vast experience with both painting and print media contributes to the artistic vision to every game created by the studio. As Haemimont Games’ Lead Artist, he guided the concept, design, and art production of 4 major titles, including the award winning Celtic Kings/Imperivm series.


Prior to joining the company, Peter was an illustrator and painter for several book publishers that he co-founded. He was an illustrator for the now legendary comic "Rainbow" ("Duga") and won the prestigious "Graviton" award for his contributions to Bulgarian science fiction.
